BOYCOTT "THE OFFICE"

BOYCOTT 'THE OFFICE' NOW!
As a professional career employee in corporate America, I am aghast at the liberal media's latest brash attack against the institution that provides so many of us our livelihoods. The NBC so called "comedy", "The Office," is a distorted portrayal of a corporate office setting that exaggerates everything from an ego-filled boss, to sexist innuendo directed at females and an appalling abuse of the disabled. Not to mention the derogatory attitude the show puts toward minorities.
NBC markets the show as, "From Reveille and NBC Universal Television Studio comes a documentary-style look into the humorous and sometimes poignant foolishness that plagues the world of 9-to-5 in the half-hour comedy “The Office,” based on the award-winning BBC hit. "
As workers, we need to unite, stand up and speak out about this evil. By contacting national and local NBC affiliates and telling them that we will not stand for this outrage that infects not only ourselves but our families.
I am tired of the media continually skewing the reality of the workplace. The workplace is sacred. Yet this television show portrays it as nothing but a dysfunctional party of racist and bigoted lunatics. What's next? A show that attacks the institution of marriage by portraying a bunch of voyeuristic married women?
Join me in boycotting "The Office." Contact your local NBC affiliate NOW. In Nashville, TN that would be WSMV. You may e-mail programming@wsmv.com
I am gathering as many names as possible to support this cause. If you would like to add your support to the list of people who want to downsize the office from our tv screens, post your note of affirmation on this blog.
Thank You. May the corporate giants of America continue to stand strong as the foundation of our great society.
Yours Truly,
Scott Michael Winchell

Yes. I wholeheartedly support this. I'm sick of this garbage. Why does the liberal media keep bashing us workers? Why? It's about time we stand for the truth.

I am a middle manager in Peoria. I does not bode well with me to see such an inaccurate portrayal of the workplace gospel. "The Office," is like the 'anti-christ' of the workplace.

I'm really excited about the groundswell of support for this movement. This isn't political. It is life and death. Earlier today I was enjoying a cool drink of water at our cooler in the office lounge. What a beautiful time. The reality of what happens in the workplace is night and day from what's portrayed in the evil and bigoted, "The Office."
Stand strong people. We will Win.
Last week I burnt one of my fingers on the stove at home. My boss thought it would be funny to offer me bubble wrap and "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," to soothe my wounds. Where would he get such a sick idea other than "The Office."
This sucks folks. I'm in to get this smut off the air.

Wow. I guess a person really knows in their heart when a cause is worthy enough to stand up for. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that this campaign would take off like this. Thank you for your kind and encouraging words of support.
As a result of the response, I am going to be speaking at several local congregations in the upcoming days, rallying support of believers behind the boycott of NBC's "The Office."
If you would like for me to speak at your church or civic group (I'm especially good with Shriners and Masons) please contact me through the blog.
Here are a couple stops I will be making this week:
Sunday Jan. 15th-First Church of Mattress Springs-Cool Springs. 10 a.m. Pastor Ida Rankin.
Wednesday Jan. 18th-Noah's Ark Community Center-Donelson. 7 p.m. (b.y.o.b.)
Thursday Jan. 19th. 19th - 7pm-9 pm: Prayer vigil and poetry slam. Cool Springs Starbucks.
What's wrong with you people. "The Office," is a C-O-M-E-D-Y. Why is it that every time something good comes along that people enjoy, you backwards, closed minded idiots have to jump on some bullet train that is nothing more than an ego ride for some sick bastard giving out free tickets to a mutated disney-world that he has created in his mind!
Y'all are Crazy! You scream about the "LIBERAL" media, while in reality the media is consistently under your ass, in your wallet, in your back pocket. Don't give me the "boo hoo" about the liberal media, when you have the networks at your whim everytime you cry loud enough because something doesn't fit the Jell-o mold of belief that you have created for yourself.
Y'all need COUNSELING!!!!!!!
And I hope your tounge get's burned by a Latte' at your Starbucks vigil on Thursday. Maybe then you'll put some bubble wrap around it so you can't talk!

Teddy,
We'll be praying for you. I'm sorry that you don't see the damage this is causing to our families and livelihoods.

I would like to join you in not watching "The Office" but I am too busy not watching the Disney Channel for their insistence on showing "The Book of Pooh", which is an obvious liberal media attempt to expose my child to scatalogical porn. Good luck with your boycott.
i agree with you scotty boy, completely... this trash is not WORTH watching.. making fun of the idiots that work in offices around the world should be a crime. they cannot help how stupid they are. (this is how god made them.) take for instance sad people that work in "my office". everyone there has issues that are common to us all. for instance the one guy who claims he is gay and states that he was born that way... this goofball knows that this is a Lifestyle choice. and the girl that is always cheating on her fiance with all the wharehouse stock boys and claims that she is NOT CHEATING on her fiance, because she is not married... jeez... and the guy who sips strawberry quik flavored milk through a straw and brings his lunch in a star wars lunchbox. -grow up dood-
im so sick of the left making jokes out of all of us normal people that have to work in an office.. you know they never had real jobs in there life....... i take pride in the fact that i have been in my job for 12 years. i make a decent wage ($9.73 per hour)and am quite happy never making fun of the others.
GOOD LUCK WITH THIS CRUSADE
ps. does anyone know why they moved the office to thusdays??? that is my bowling night....
Thank You for everyone who visited the service yesterday in Cool Springs? Prayer, reflection, tears and miracles were all a part of this event.
More of you have simply asked, "How can I help?" The simplest answer is with your word. Make sure everyone in your workplace hears from you, with your voice of integrity, just how important it is that we stand against NBC's, "The Office."
This is a place to begin.
I will write more later, but until then, May the water cooler be with you!!
Scott
